SAUSAGE SNACK 
2 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/3 c. shortening
About 2/3 c. milk
1 lb. hot sausage, room temperature

Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles cornmeal. Add milk gradually mixing until flour mixture is moistened. Roll out about 1/4 inch thick. Spread dough with thin layer of sausage. Roll as for jelly roll. Chill thoroughly. Cut into 1/4 inch thick slices; place on baking sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for about 10 minutes. Bake one tray at a time in order to serve hot.
