MOLASSES OATMEAL COOKIES 
2 c. rolled oats
1 c. sugar
3 c. flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. allspice or nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. molasses
1 c. shortening
2 eggs

Mix all dry ingredients. Add molasses, shortening and eggs, well beaten. Roll as thin as possible, with as little extra flour as possible.
