OATMEAL MOLASSES NUT COOKIES 
FIRST:

Mix:

8 c. flour
1 tbsp. salt
2 tbsp. baking soda

SECOND:

Mix:

1 1/2 tbsp. cinnamon
8 c. oats
2 3/4 c. sugar

THIRD:

Mix:

1 1/2 tbsp. vanilla
2 c. melted vegetable shortening
1 c. molasses
1 c. white Karo
4 eggs, beaten
1/4 c. hot water
2 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
3 c. chopped raisins

Sift first together. In very large bowl mix second ingredients. Add third and first to mixture in large bowl. Work with hands until well mixed. Roll 1/4 inch thick. Cut with 3 1/2 inch cutter. Brush with water. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Makes 6 dozen.
