SHEPHERD'S PIE 
2 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. flour
2 carrots, chopped
1 c. beef broth
5 med. potatoes, boiled and mashed
1 tsp. oil
2 onions, finely chopped
1 tsp. tomato paste
1 c. cooked mixed vegetables
1 tbsp. butter

Brown beef in oil; discard fat. Stir in onions and carrots; cook for 5 minutes. Stir in tomato paste, flour, and broth. Add cooked vegetables. Put in casserole or deep dish pie plate. Top with mashed potatoes, dot with butter, bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serves 6.
