FRESH APPLE COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1 1/3 c. brown sugar
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves (ground)
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. raisins
1/4 c. apple juice (cider)
1 c. finely chopped, unpared apple

Cream butter, sugar and egg. Sift dry ingredients together and add to creamed mix alternately with juice, fruits and nuts. Drop onto greased cookie sheet and bake 8 to 10 minutes at 375 degrees. 3 dozen.
