APPLE AND PLUM BUTTER 
4 1/2 lbs. apples
2 c. water
3 lbs. plums
6 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

Wash and cut apples and plums, including peels and cores. Add water and cook until fruit is tender. Press through sieve. Add sugar and cinnamon. Cook until thick and clear. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking. Fill sterilized jars. Seal. Makes 6 glasses.

I made this recipe today. I had more plums than apples so I had to tweak a bit and use 5 cups of sugar instead of 6 but the end result is delicious and boy did the house smell wonderful. I give it 5 stars for flavor and it is excellent to serve with scones or tea cakes...
