1 c. butter (Judge 5:25)
2 c. sugar (Jeremiah 6:20)
6 eggs (Isaiah 10:14)
3 1/2 c. flour (Kings 4:22
1/2 tsp. salt (Leviticus 2:13)
2 tsp. baking powder (I Corinthians 5:6)
1/2 tsp. each of 3 spices (Kings 10:2) such as cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice
1 c. water (Genesis 24:11
1 tbsp. honey (Exodus 16:31)
2 c. each of raisins, figs (Samuel 25:18)
1 c. chopped nuts (Genesis 43:11)

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Mix salt, flour, baking powder and spices. Mix honey with water and add alternately to first mixture with dry ingredients. Add raisins, figs and nuts. Pour into greased loaf pan or angel cake pan. Bake at 375 degrees until it tests done.
