BACON WRAPPED WATER CHESTNUTS 
2 cans water chestnuts, whole
1 lb. bacon
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. brown sugar
Pepper to taste

Marinate drained chestnuts in soy sauce, brown sugar and pepper mixture for at least 2 hours. Wrap chestnut in 1/3 slice bacon and fasten with toothpick. Bake at 350 degrees until done. Makes about 40.
