CHOCOLATE DESSERT 
2 cakes German sweet chocolate
1 1/8 tbsp. cold water
4 egg yolks
4 egg whites
1 c. nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pt. or more softened ice cream
4 tbsp. powdered sugar
1/4 tsp. vanilla
Vanilla wafer crumbs, melted butter

Melt chocolate, add water, beat until smooth. Remove from fire, add egg yolks that have been beaten, add 1 cup nuts. Fold in egg whites which have been beaten stiff and vanilla. Line flat pan with wax paper.

Spread in layers - first crumbs, then chocolate mixture, then ice cream, then chocolate mixture and then crumbs. Freeze.
