BUTTERMILK NUT BREAD 
1 1/2 c. sifted white flour
1/4 c. whole wheat flour
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. wheat germ
1 c. sunflower seeds
2 eggs, well beaten
1/3 c. molasses
2 tbsp. shortening
1 c. buttermilk

Sift flour, salt, soda and baking powder together. Add wheat germ and sunflower seeds, and mix well. Stir together eggs, sugar, molasses, shortening and buttermilk. Add to dry ingredients and bake at 325 to 350 degrees about an hour and 15 minutes.
