CRUMB APPLE PIE 
5 1/2 c. apples
1 tbsp. lemon juice (not used if tart apples)
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. light brown sugar
3 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/8 - 1/4 tsp. (your taste) nutmeg

CRUMB TOPPING:

3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. butter

Preheat oven 350 degrees.

Combine sliced apples, lemon juice, sugar, brown sugar, flour, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix well and put into crust.

Mix remaining topping ingredients until crumbly and sprinkle evenly over apples.

Bake on cookie sheet until topping is brown and apples are bubbling, about 50 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
