LIGHT BREAD ROLLS | |
2 c. sweet milk 1 cake yeast 3/4 c. sugar 4 tbsp. melted butter 2 1/2 c. flour 3 c. flour 1 tsp. salt Scald milk and cool to lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in milk and add sugar, melted shortening and 2 1/2 cups flour. Beat until smooth. Let rise 1 hour. Add 3 cups flour and salt and knead. Let dough rise 1 1/2 hours. Spread melted butter on dough, knead and let rise 1 1/2 hours. Make out in rolls or loaves. Grease tops. Let rise 3/4 hour and bake at 450 degrees until brown. |
