SWEDISH APPLE PIE 
5-6 apples, pared, cored & sliced (Cortland)
1 stick butter, melted
1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
Pinch salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Dash of cinnamon, if desired

Fill 9 inch pie pan 3/4 full with sliced apples. In a separate bowl, mix together all of the other ingredients. Spread over the top of the apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes or until top is golden brown.
