OYSTER STEW 
1 qt. half and half or milk
2 tbsp. butter
2 green onions, chopped
1 pt. oysters, undrained
Salt to taste
Red pepper to taste

Heat half and half in top of a double boiler until hot but not boiling. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat; add onion and saute lightly. Add oysters; cook until edges begin to curl. Combine oyster mixture with half and half; stir in salt and red pepper. Serve with crackers.
