MICROWAVE CARAMEL CORN | |
1 c. packed brown sugar 1/2 c. butter 1/2 c. light syrup 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. vanilla 3 to 3 1/2 qt. popped corn Put brown sugar, syrup, butter and salt in 2 quart microwave bowl. Microwave on high 2 to 3 minutes or until mixture is boiling throughout, stirring once. Microwave on high 2 minutes at full rolling boil. Remove from microwave. Stir in soda and vanilla. Mix well. Pour 1/2 of the popcorn in microwave 8 x 12 pan. Drizzle with 1/2 of caramel mixture. Stir well. Microwave on high 3 to 4 minutes, stirring well after each minute. Remove and spread on waxed paper to cool. Repeat with other half. |
