MICROWAVE CARAMEL CORN 
1 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. light syrup
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 to 3 1/2 qt. popped corn

Put brown sugar, syrup, butter and salt in 2 quart microwave bowl. Microwave on high 2 to 3 minutes or until mixture is boiling throughout, stirring once. Microwave on high 2 minutes at full rolling boil. Remove from microwave. Stir in soda and vanilla. Mix well. Pour 1/2 of the popcorn in microwave 8 x 12 pan. Drizzle with 1/2 of caramel mixture. Stir well. Microwave on high 3 to 4 minutes, stirring well after each minute. Remove and spread on waxed paper to cool. Repeat with other half.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
