CANNED APPLE PIE 
You will need 7 quarts jars and about 42 apples. Peel and slice apples and pack tight in jars.

FILLING:

4 1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. cornstarch
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
10 c. water

Mix cornstarch in 2 cups of water. Add all ingredients in large pot and cook thick like gravy. Punch holes in jars of apples and let filling slowly fill jar. (I use the handle of a wooden spoon.) Put lids on and process 10 minutes in hot water or pressure cooker. When used pour in deep dish pie crust and put with butter and cook.
