ELSIE'S QUICK ITALIAN SPAGHETTI
SAUCE
 
1/4 c. Crisco
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
1/4 c. dried parsley
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
2 c. tomatoes, 1 can
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. pepper
Dash of basil
1 bay leaf

If desired more Italian seasoning can be added. Fry beef, onions in Crisco. Add to rest of the ingredients. Simmer 1 hour. Boil 8 ounces spaghetti as directed on package. Serve sauce on top of spaghetti. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
