MARYBELL'S WHITE SUGAR COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1 c. oil
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 tbsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
4 1/2 c. flour

Cream butter and oil, add powdered sugar and white sugar. Add eggs, and vanilla. Sift flour with salt, cream of tartar and soda. Add to cream mixture. Mix well. Roll in balls; press down with glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 325 degrees for approximately 12 to 15 minutes. Makes 3 to 4 dozen.
