PORK CASSEROLE 
4 sweet potatoes
4 tart apples
1 1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
4 to 6 pork chops
dash of pepper
1/8 tsp. sage
1/4 c. hot water

Pare the sweet potatoes. Slice apples into thick slices. Do not peel. Remove the seeds and core. Place the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish and sprinkle with half the salt. Add sliced apples, sugar and cinnamon. Arrange pork chops on top of the apples, add the remaining salt, pepper and sage. Add hot water and bake at 350°F for 1 hour or until the chops and potatoes are done.

Serves 4 to 6.
