CRANBERRY BREAD 
3 tbsp. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
Grated peel of 1 orange
3 c. flour (white, whole wheat or mixed)
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 c. cranberries
Juice of 1 orange (and a little more)
1 c. chopped nuts (walnuts, or others)
1/2 c. wheat germ

Cream together sugar and butter and beat in the egg. Blend in orange peel. Combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Blend together sugar mixture, flour mixture, orange juice. Stir in cranberries, nuts and wheat germ. Pour into greased 5 x 9 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes.
