2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. shortening
4 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
Dash of salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. coconut
1 c. nuts

Cream shortening, sugar and add eggs, one at a time. Combine dry ingredients. Add alternately with milk and vanilla, coconut and nuts. Bake in tube pan that has been greased and floured. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. After first 1 hour and 10 minutes, start testing.
