POTATO LATKES 
6 med. potatoes
1 sm. onion
2 eggs slightly beaten
3 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder

Peel and grate potatoes and onions. Let stand about 10 minutes to let liquid rise to top and drain this liquid off. Stir in eggs, add other ingredients. Drop by spoonfuls into a hot well greased skillet. Brown on both sides, drain on paper towel. Serve hot with apple sauce or sour cream.
