3 eggs (or 2 egg whites & 2 whole eggs) 1/4 c. skim or lowfat milk 2 tsp. sugar 1/4 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. vanilla About 8 slices bread, halved In a shallow bowl or pie plate, whisk together the egg whites, whole eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon and vanilla. Dip the half slices of bread into the egg mixture one by one, turning to coat both sides of the bread. Heat a griddle that has been greased with butter, butter or oil and fry the bread on both sides over medium heat. |
