SPRING ASPARAGUS & TURKEY PIE 
3 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. chopped onion
2 tbsp. flour
1 1/4 c. half & half
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 c. cubed, cooked turkey
1 1/2 c. fresh cut asparagus
1/2 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
3 tbsp. dry white wine
Pastry for double crust pie

Heat oven to 375 degrees. In medium saucepan, melt butter. Add onion and cook until tender. Stir in flour; cook over medium heat. Add half & half, salt and pepper; cook until mixture boils, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in turkey, asparagus, mushrooms and wine.

Pour into pastry lined pie plate. Cut top crust into triangles; arrange in a spoke fashion with narrow tips of dough meeting in the middle of the pie, leaving space in between dough slices. (Make cinnamon and sugar treats with extra dough!) Bake pie at 375 degrees for 30 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
