GRANDMA'S ICEBOX ROLLS 
3/4 c. hot water
1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. salt
3 tbsp. butter
2 pkgs. yeast
1 c. warm water
1 beaten egg
About 5 1/4 c. flour

Combine hot water, sugar, salt and butter. Soften yeast in warm water. Add to sugar mixture with beaten egg and half of the flour. Beat until smooth. Add enough flour to make a soft dough. Work (or knead) about 10 minutes, put in greased bowl and grease top of dough. Cover and store in refrigerator. Use as needed. Pinch off rolls and let rise on well greased pan in warm place. Bake at 400 degrees about 10 minutes.
