CABBAGE SOUP 
1 sm. head cabbage (shredded)
2 med. onions, chopped
1 qt. tomatoes
1/4 c. rice
1 ham bone or ham pieces and fat
Salt and pepper to taste

Fry ham bone or ham scraps and onions in heavy pot. Add everything else. Simmer 2-3 hours. Remove ham bone and serve.
