OLD - FASHIONED TEA CAKES 
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 c. shortening
2 tsp. baking powder
4 c. flour (plain)
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream shortening and 1/2 the sugar. Beat eggs and rest of sugar. Mix and add flour. When blended smooth, roll out thin and cut. OR Drop by spoonful onto cookie sheet and press with fork. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes.
