ANTHONY'S PEANUT BLOSSOM COOKIE | |
Cooks Note: This is a variation of an old Classic recipe for chocolate and peanut butter flavored Cookies that is a childhood favorite for many. After some research, I found that a similar recipe was published in the 1950's in a Pillsbury recipe pamphlet. It is still a favorite today. 1 3/4 cup Pillsbury's Best All Purpose Flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 cup packed brown sugar 1/2 cup vegetable or coconut shortening or butter 1/2 cup peanut butter 1 egg 2 tbsp. milk 1 tsp. vanilla extract Hershey's kisses Combine all ingredients except Hershey's kisses in a large mixing bowl. Mix on low speed. Shape dough into balls. Roll balls in sugar. Bake at 375°F for 10 to 12 minutes. Top with Hershey's kisses. These cookies are NOT to be confused with any kind of commercially available pastries! |
