POLLY C'S BUTTERMILK SALAD 
1 (6 oz.) pkg. Jello (reg. or sugar-free)
1 (20 oz.) can pineapple
2 c. buttermilk
1 (9 oz.) carton whipped topping
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Place undrained pineapple in a saucepan and bring to a boil stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add Jello, stirring until dissolved. Add buttermilk and whipped topping. Mix thoroughly. Pour into a 9 x 13 inch dish. Refrigerate overnight for best flavor.
