ALETHA'S "CAN'T FAIL" CHOCOLATE
CAKE
 
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. cocoa
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1 c. milk (or 1/2 coffee or sour milk)
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. lard

Mix all ingredients and mix well. Bake 350 degrees about 30 minutes. Use 9x13 inch greased and floured pan.
