APPLE RUM DUM 
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. butter
1 egg
2 c. diced apples
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. nuts, chopped

Mix all ingredients in one bowl, in order. Bake in greased 9"x9" pan in preheated oven, at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes. Serve with butterscotch sauce and whipped cream.

BUTTERSCOTCH SAUCE:

1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. heavy cream

Mix the above ingredients in saucepan and bring to a boil. Serve hot over Apple Rum Dum.
