POTATO - BACON SOUP 
4 strips bacon, finely chopped
1 lg. onion, chopped
4 c. chicken stock
4 med. potatoes, diced
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. heavy cream
1/2 tsp. salt
Fresh dill

Saute bacon 5 minutes. Add onion and cook 5 minutes longer. Add stock, potatoes, and pepper. Cook until potatoes are tender, approximately 20 minutes. Add cream. Add salt (if desired). Sprinkle with chopped dill. This can be prepared in advance and frozen without cream added.
