HOMEMADE LASAGNA 
2 lbs. hamburger
1 lb. Italian link sausage, diced
1 clove garlic
1 tbsp. basil
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
16 oz. or lg. size lasagna noodles
2 eggs
4 c. cream style cottage cheese
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp. parsley flakes
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 pkgs.(8oz.) Mozzarella cheese, sliced thin

Brown meat; drain excess fat. Add next 5 ingredients and 1/2 cup water. Simmer for 15 minutes, covered. Stir often. Cook noodles; drain, rinse.

Beat eggs; add remaining ingredients except Mozzarella.

Layer half of noodles in large roasting pan; spread with half cottage cheese mixture; add half Mozzarella cheese and half meat sauce. Repeat. Bake at 375 degrees for about 30 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Serves 8.
