1 box yellow cake mix
3/4 c. butter, melted
1 1/2 c. walnuts or pecans (divided 3/4 & 3/4)
1 c. brown sugar, packed
2 (8 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese, softened

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 9"x13" baking pan.

BASE: Stir together in medium bowl until well mixed the dry cake mix, 3/4 cup melted butter and the 3/4 cup of nuts. Press mixture into bottom of cake pan.

TOPPING: Stir together in medium sized bowl the one cup of packed brown sugar, 2 packages of cream cheese and spread evenly over the base in the pan. Sprinkle with the chopped pecans or walnuts.
