PECAN PIE (Southern) 
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. white corn syrup
3/4 stick butter
1 unbaked pie shell
3 slightly beaten eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. pecans

Combine sugar, corn syrup and butter. Heat until butter melts. Blend well. Meanwhile beat eggs, salt and vanilla. Add sugar mixture to egg mixture. Stir egg mixture while adding. Add pecans. Pour into pie shell. Bake 10 minutes at 400 degrees - 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
