CHOCOLATE LADY FINGERS LOAF
2 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 (14 oz.) can condensed milk
1/2 c. butter
1 c. heavy cream
2 tbsp. water
1 tbsp. confectioners sugar
2 dozen lady fingers, halved

Combine over hot (not boiling) water, chocolate, chips, sweetened condensed milk, butter, and water. Heat until chips are melted and mixture is smooth. Remove from heat. Line a 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan with foil to extend over edge of pan. Then line sides and bottom of prepared pan with 27 lady finger halves to form layers. Pour 1/3 of chocolate mixture over bottom layers of lady fingers. Place 7 lady finger halves over chocolate and cover with second layer of 1/3 chocolate mixture, repeat with 7 lady fingers and cover with remaining chocolate and top with remaining lady fingers. Chill until firm about 3 hours. Carefully remove loaf from pan and peel off foil. Place on serving dish. Beat cream with confectioners sugar until stiff and serve on top.
