POACHED PEARS 
4 pears, peeled and cored
1/2 c. Muscat Cannelli wine (available at Liquor Land stores)
1/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. cinnamon
Chopped pecans

Heat together over medium heat until warm and dissolved the wine, sugar and cinnamon.

Put pears in a pyrex or aluminum pan. Pour warm sauce over the pears. Bake at 375 degrees for 1 1/2 hours, basting with sauce every 15-20 minutes.

TOPPING FOR BAKED PEARS:

1 (8 oz.) container Cool Whip
1 (4 oz.) container sour cream
1 tbsp. 10x powdered sugar
1/4 tsp. vanilla

Mix together with a wire whip. Put a dollop on each pear. Sprinkle a teaspoon of chopped pecans on each.
