CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES | |
2 large eggs 1/2 cup (1 stick) Crisco shortening (yellow) 2/3 cup granulated sugar 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. baking soda 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 cup chocolate or semi-sweet chips* Note: Vanilla chips may also be used. Preheat oven to 375°F. Combine eggs and shortening, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla. Whip it all together until the mixture is smooth. Add baking soda. Gradually add flour a half cup at a time, along with a small amount of the chips. Roll the cookie dough to form small balls. Place it all on an aluminum cookie sheet. Oven rack should be placed at the bottom. Bake for 10 minutes at 375°F. Allow the cookies to cool for at least 10 to 15 minutes. Submitted by: RL II |
