WHITE CHOCOLATE COOKIES 
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. shortening
1/4 c. butter
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. flour
2 c. white chocolate chips
1 1/4 c. coconut
2 c. crisp rice cereal

Blend coconut in blender or food processor to make a fine flake.

Cream sugars, salt, soda, shortening and butter. Add eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour, chips, coconut and cereal. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees about 12 minutes.
