SURPRISE MERINGUE COOKIES 
2 egg whites
1/8 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
3/4 c. sugar
1 pkg. chocolate chips (12 oz.)
1/4 c. nuts

Beat whites, salt and cream of tartar until peaks form. Add sugar gradually. Beat until thick and creamy. Add chips and nuts. Drop by tablespoonful on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 300 degrees for 25 minutes.
