CHINATOWN CHOP SUEY | |
1 lb. fresh meat, diced, chicken or beef or pork 2 cans bean sprouts 1 bunch celery, sliced thin, about 3 c. 2 c. onions, chopped fine 1 1/2 c. soup stock (beef bouillon) 1 tbsp. molasses 2 tbsp. soy sauce 3 tbsp. cornstarch 3/4 c. water 3 tbsp. oil Heat oil in skillet, fry meat until nearly done. Add 1 tablespoon soy sauce, celery, onions and soup stock. Saute 10 minutes. Add bean sprouts, drained. Cook 5 minutes. Add gravy using 1 tablespoon molasses, soy sauce, cornstarch, 3/4 cup water. Mix. Season to taste. |
