BLACKBERRY JAM CAKE 
2 c. brown sugar (1 box)
1 c. butter
4 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
4 c. all purpose flour
2 c. blackberry jam
1 tsp. baking soda
Pinch of salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon

Sift together flour, soda, baking powder and salt. Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs. Alternate buttermilk and flour. Mix well. Add blackberry jam and spices. Bake in a greased and floured tube pan at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Can take less time as ovens vary. Check with toothpick. Can be iced with a light chocolate buttercream frosting.
