PEANUT BUTTER/OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 c. soft shortening
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 c. peanut butter
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. rolled oats

Cream shortening and sugars. Add eggs and mix well until fluffy. Add peanut butter. Sift flour, salt and baking soda. Mix well with other ingredients. Lastly add oatmeal. Drop on greased cookie sheet. Dipping a fork in flour, then flatten and criss-cross cookies. Bake at 350 degrees about 10 minutes.
