ORANGE ROCK CAKES 
1/2 c. butter
2/3 c. sugar
2 eggs
3 c. sifted flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/3 tsp. salt
Grated rind of 2 oranges
Strained juice of 1 orange

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Add flour, salt and baking powder sifted together and orange rind and juice. If too stiff, add a little additional orange juice or milk. But the dough should be stiff enough to hold its shape. Drop from the tip of spoon onto greased cookie sheets and bake in moderately hot oven (375 degrees) for 10 minutes. Makes about 4 dozen.
