CONTAGIOUS CONGO BARS 
1 1/2 sticks of butter (3/4 c.)
16 oz. of brown sugar (2 c.)
3 eggs
2 c. of flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. chopped pecans
1/2 to 1 c. chocolate chips (can use butterscotch or peanut butter chips also), depending on your liking of chocolate

Spray pan with Pam or any other non stick spray. Cream together butter, brown sugar and eggs. Set aside. Combine flour, salt and baking powder together. Add dry ingredients to creamed ingredients. Blend this well. Add chips and nuts to mixture on top after its in the pan. Batter will be stiff. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. Cake will fall after coming from oven and cracks are characteristic of this dessert.
