OLD FASHIONED CUBED STEAK | |
1 1/2 lbs. cubed steak Salt and pepper Flour Vegetable oil 1/4 c. unsifted flour 1 1/2 c. water 2 Wyler's beef flavor bouillon cubes or 2 tsp. instant bouillon 1 med. onion, sliced Sprinkle steak lightly with salt and pepper; coat with flour. In large skillet, brown steak in hot oil; remove from skillet. Pour off all but 3 tablespoons fat. Stir in 1/4 cup flour; cook and stir until flour browns. Stir in water and bouillon; stir until bouillon dissolves. Add onion and meat. Cover; simmer 25 to 30 minutes or until tender. Serve hot. Refrigerate leftovers. Makes 4 to 6 servings. |
