APPLE DUMPLINGS 
DOUGH:

2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
4 tbsp. Crisco
3/4 c. milk

6-8 med. apples, peeled and cored

SYRUP:

2 c. brown sugar
1 c. water
1 tsp. cinnamon
4 tbsp. butter

Roll out dough in squares, sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Wrap apple in dough. Boil syrup 3 minutes. Pour over wrapped apples. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes, then at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until apples are soft.
