JENNA & JARED'S STEW | |
1 1/2 lbs. stew meat in 1 inch cubes 1 tbsp. cooking oil 1 clove garlic, minced 1 bay leaf 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp. mustard 1/2 tsp. marjoram 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 env. onion soup mix 20 oz. water 5 c. vegetables, cut into 1 inch pieces (any combination of carrots, potatoes, celery, turnips, mushrooms, green beans, etc. or Jared's favorite lima beans) 1/4 c. cold water 2 tbsp. flour Brown meat in oil. Add next 8 ingredients; stir and bring to boil. Cover and reduce heat and simmer 1 hour and 15 minutes. Stir occasionally. Add vegetables; cover and simmer again 20-30 minutes until vegetables are tender. Blend water and flour; stir into stew to thicken. Remove bay leaf. Serves 4-6. |
