FLAVORFUL MEATBALLS 
1 lb. lean ground beef
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. beer
1/2 c. catsup
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. wine vinegar
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
Chopped green onions (optional)

Combine ground beef, salt and pepper; mix well. Shape into 1 inch meatballs. Cook in hot shortening over medium heat 10 to 15 minutes or until browned. Drain well on paper towels.

Combine next 6 ingredients in a medium saucepan; stir well. Add meatballs; simmer 30 minutes, stirring.
