BUTTERSCOTCH COOKIES 
2 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 c. nuts, chopped (pecans, walnuts)
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
3 c. flour

Cream together sugar and butter. Add vanilla, eggs and nuts. Mix in soda, tartar and flour. Form into rolls and wrap in wax paper. Refrigerate overnight. Slice and bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
